We are not contracted with any insurance plans. Being out of network allows us to provide personalized and comprehensive care without being bound by insurance guidelines. While many practices accept insurance, doing so forces the provider to shorten your visit time and we see this ultimately as a barrier to quality care.

Our model allows for longer visits to ensure that we have enough time to customize your treatment plan and provide lifestyle counseling in addition to medical management. Clients in our monthly program have access to Dr. Sodhi for troubleshooting between visits.

You can request a superbill with medical diagnosis codes from your patient visits, which you can then submit to your insurance as an "out-of-network provider". Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan. If you are interested in this, please ask our staff for assistance.

Last, our services are typically covered by flexible or health spending accounts (FSA/HSA). You may check with your plan prior to your appointment.

Although Dr. Sodhi is an internal medicine and obesity medicine physician, her focus is on weight loss. It is vital that you have primary care doctor for your complete needs. Dr. Sodhi will communicate with your primary care physician throughout the program.

DA-approved medications for weight loss include:

• phentermine products (Adipex, Lomaira)
• orlistat (Xenical® or alli®)
• naltrexone HCI AND bupropion HCI (CONTRAVE®)
• phentermine- topiramate ER (Qsymia®)
• liraglutide injection (Saxenda®)
• semaglutide injection (Wegovy®)
• Tirzepatide injection (Zepbound®)

Due to lack of safety regulations, we do not prescribe compounded medications.

We are only accepting new patients who are age 18 and over.

Yes. While Dr. Sodhi is not affiliated with any bariatric surgeons, she has the capability and training with post-bariatric surgery patients and conditions.
