Maybe it’s while struggling to keep up with your kids at the park, or realizing your energy runs out before your day does. A sinking feeling washes over you, a mix of defeat and shame, because no matter how hard you try, the scale won’t budge. I know that feeling, deeply. I’ve lived it.
After three postpartum weight journeys and years of battling metabolic health challenges, I remember looking in the mirror and thinking:
"I can figure out how to succeed in so many areas of my life, but I can’t figure out my weight."
Despite my dedication to making and sustaining lifestyle changes, I found myself stuck in a cycle of unfulfilled cravings and frustration. The process felt like it was taking away from the enjoyment of my daily life.
But here’s the truth I’ve discovered:

Hi, I’m Dr. Mona Sodhi. I’m an evidence-based obesity medicine physician and certified culinary coach. My journey from personal struggles to professional expertise has made me uniquely qualified to guide others through their weight loss transformations.
I lost the weight. I regained my energy. And I transformed how I approach health, weight, and life.
I became the professional I needed and that my patients deserved—a physician who doesn’t just treat the side effects of obesity but targets its root causes. In 2020, I became certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine to create an evidence based foundation for my practice. I also trained as a certified culinary coach through Harvard Medical School because I believe many of us know what to do—it’s the how that keeps us stuck.
Today, I combine medical expertise and culinary coaching to help individuals achieve permanent weight loss and improved health. My approach is rooted in science, empathy, and the understanding that you can reclaim your health and life, just as I have.
When I’m not empowering others on their journeys, I can usually be found either with my family, traveling, or at a pilates class. I understand the balancing act of life’s many roles and the importance of showing up fully in each one.
